Avoid Harmful Chemicals in Anti-Wrinkle Creams

If you’re in search of the best anti-wrinkle cream out on the market today it’s probably because you’re not all for getting those painful Botox injections; I don’t blame you! Of course, there is other cosmetic procedures that you can go under such as a diamond peel but those are very pricey and too much to ask for if you want your skin to look firm and young permanently. If you don’t believe it yet, don’t lose hope, there are a few anti-wrinkle creams out there that can give you amazing results and it works just as good as the medical approaches – but, you have to know where to look first!

There are many of us who have found a brand of product or make up that we like and we tend to stick to that; not buying any products outside of that brand. On the shelf there are many popular and cliché celebrity brands that we buy just because a celebrity “created it.” We continue to hear that we should go for the brands that have already established a great track record and are rated highly among consumers who have used the brand for years. There are also the products that are new to the market and we want to try it but don’t want to break our cycle with satisfactory products.

Have you ever looked at the ingredients in most of the products instead of just believing that they are the best products on the market currently? There are actually some harmful ingredients packed into many moisturizers that you have to watch out for and that is why you need to inform yourself on these products! Sometimes, there are even consequences to using these products without us even knowing about them.

Harmful Chemicals in Skin Products

The following are harmful ingredients that you should avoid at all costs:

1.      Triclosan – this is an anti-wrinkle cream that actually has anti-bacterial property – but, are you aware that this is an ingredient that is used to kill weeds? Would you really want to apply that type of chemical onto your face if it’s that powerful? I think not!

2.      BHA or BHT – This is used as a preservative for the cream in many products but studies have shown that this is actually linked to cancer and the growth of tumors in the body.

3.      DMDM or otherwise known as Hydantoin works as a preservative as well – but, this is known to make the immune system much weaker.

4.      TEA is used to preserve the actual shelf life of these products while they’re in stores but this is a carcinogenic. No thanks!

5.      Mineral Oil sounds like it would be acceptable to put on your skin but these actually clog up your pores and speed up the process of aging. Therefore, you’re doing more damage to your skin because you’ve chosen the wrong product.

There are a few things to remember when you’re searching for the right beauty product. Make sure that they do not consist of any of the following ingredients; instead you should look for products that contain Cynergy, hyaluronic Acid, Natural ingredients and antioxidants, Vitamins and approval seals. These ingredients include keratin and collagen, as well as fighting attributes. All of this will contribute to the elasticity of your skin as well as the rate at which your body produces collagen.
